Point32Health

I am the Senior Graphic Designer in the Senior Products division at Point32Health, a Canton, MA-based insurance company that owns Tufts Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare, and CarePartners of Connecticut. This position has me in a constant flurry of digital, print, copywriting, marketing, logistics, development, and management projects. There’s little predicting what tomorrow’s work looks like, but I feel satisfied knowing that I have a direct and positive relationship with hundreds of thousands of aging and elderly people, even if they don’t know who I am. Recently I have hired a Junior Designer to support me, but everything below is my own work.

There are approximately a million more examples I could share here after a busy 6 years.

BRANDING, LAYOUT, WEB DESIGN, ICONOGRAPHY, PHOTO RESEARCH

Sample of magazine work. I’ve been working very closely with our copywriter in creating these semiannual member Well! magazines, on top of our annual Wellness Guides. These have been recognized multiple times in national industry awards for health topic communications.

An example of some of the more workhorse informational material we put together for members. This one is a 20-page over-the-counter catalog aimed at our SCO members, who are more often low-income and savings-focused, as well as less proficient in English and less educated. In the past this piece was plain text and mostly unformatted—I introduced a color coding system and visual examples of the most commonly used items to improve the reading comprehension of the piece.

Sampling of direct mail pieces.

Recent front-end landing page development project.

Sample of recent email creative. I have been managing these weekly sends by hand for 4 years on a limited legacy platform. In 2018/19, I led an effort to test and improve our email stream using Google Analytics since our platform didn’t include any sort of traffic/interaction reporting. Stripping back our emails to let our personality shine through and learning from content tests led us to a ~15% improvement in click-to-open. Some of our sends now get 30% of our member base to our article, supporting the business end goal of improving responses in the yearly CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems) survey.
